Bantwal: Arrest made in B C Road multiple thefts - Repeat offender held

Bantwal, Jan 14: The Bantwal city police have successfully apprehended an accused involved in a series of break-ins targeting hotels and shops on B C Road.

The accused arrested is Hamid Yane Kunha Monu, a resident of Beltangady Padangadi.

About two weeks back, Monu was implicated in a break-in at a local hotel and several shops, effectively disabling the CCTV cameras in the hotel on B C Road.

The accused Monu, known for his involvement in multiple past thefts, was already facing legal proceedings. The ongoing police investigation revealed that he had evaded court appearances related to a previous case.

Following his arrest, the accused has been presented before the court and has been subsequently remanded to 15 days of judicial custody .
