Abu Dhabi: UAE Interior Ministry Calls for Child Protection


Abu Dhabi, Sep 15 (IANS/WAM) UAE's Ministry of Interior has called for child protection and stressed on the need to boost communication between the school and family.

The ministry's Higher Committee for Child Protection made these directions in a statement on commencement of the academic year

Major General Nasser Lakhraibani Al Nuaimi, secretary general of the office of deputy prime minister and chairman of the committee called for concerted efforts to protect students and ensure their safety.

He also urged competent authorities to adopt professional, academic and training programmes to combat all forms of child abuse and mistreatment.
