Udupi, Jan 15: Senior Congress party leader, former president of Udupi Congress minority block, Abdul Rahman passed away due to a cardiac arrest today.

Abdul Rahman was an active leader of the Congress party and had worked for the victory of the party in various elections held in the district.

He had taken an active role in the victory of Jayaprakash Hegde in 2012.

He was a person of few words and decent character and had also indulged in several social organizations.
