Udupi: Grand Hagalotsava concludes at Sri Krishna Math

Udupi, Jan 15: Hagalu Rathotsava (Choornotsava) was held on Monday, January 15, as part of Makara Sankrati celebration.

After Mahapooja at 8.30 am, Lord Sri Krishna and Mukhyaprana were kept on Brahmaratha and seers of eight maths performed Mangalarati.

Later, Okuli Pooja was held at Vasanta Mantapa. Seers of eight maths were honoured. Avabrathotsava of Sri Krishna Mukhyaprana was held at Madhwa Sarovara.

As per the traditional ritual seers threw prasadam, coins and gold towards the devotees. After Garuda Pradakshne was over on the chariot, Utsava began.
