Beltangady: Seven-year-old boy accidentally falls into well, loses life

Beltangady, Jan 16: Tragedy struck in Panakaje, Sonandur village, as a seven-year-old boy accidentally fell into a well while playing with other children in the evening on Monday January 15. The unfortunate incident occurred when Anan slipped and lost his life.

The deceased is identified as Mohammed Anan, the son of local resident Mohammed Hanif. He was enjoying his holiday from school by playing with neighbouring kids. The children were near a well that lacked a protective wall, leading to the tragic accident.

Despite immediate efforts to rescue Anan and rush him to Beltangady government hospital, he had already passed away. Anan, a second-standard student at a local school, lost his life in the unfortunate mishap.

Punjalkatte police have registered a case in connection to the incident.
