Mangaluru: Police head constable goes missing, complaint filed

Mangaluru, Jan 15: Manjunatha Hegde (41), a dedicated police officer with 15 years of service, has been reported missing. Formerly serving as a head constable at Kankanady city police station, he was recently transferred to the CCRB unit on OOD basis.

On January 13, Manjunatha left home, stating that he was heading to report for duty at the CCRB unit. However, his mobile phone was switched off from 1 pm on the same day. Despite inquiries with friends and relatives, there has been no information about his whereabouts. A case has been filed at Kankanady police station in connection with his disappearance.

Described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a wheat complexion, round face, and a slim build, Manjunatha was last seen wearing a t-shirt in white and cream colours, along with blue jeans. He is proficient in Kannada, Tulu, and Hindi languages.

Citizens who come across Manjunatha are urged to promptly inform Kankanady city police station.
