Bengaluru, Jan 16: In a sarcastic tweet on Prime Minister Narendra Modi dozing off, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has remarked: "When the Prime Minister dozes, the nation loses!’’
Siddaramaiah, has in a post on social media platform ‘’X’’ (formerly Twitter), said: "Narendra Modi is always awake for his personal PR (public relations) and BJP’s campaign, but is always seen sleeping on issues concerning Karnataka.’’
"A stark reality in Karnataka, where: Central funds are reduced or denied, aspirations of Kannadigas neglected, relief funds from Union Government yet to reach the farmers....His Mantra? Ignore. Neglect. Sleep. Repeat!,’’ he said.
Continuing, the chief minister taunted BJP on ‘’X’’: "BJP MPs mantra? Maintain silence. Fan Modi. Betray Kannadigas. Allow Modi to Sleep Peacefully. Repeat!’’
The chief Minister went on to ask:"Wake up, Mr Prime Minister! Time to ensure the rightful share of Karnataka! #AnswerMadiModi #WakeUpPM’’
In another tweet on ‘’X’’, the chief minister said:"When asked about the corruption by BJP leaders, sleeps. #AnswerMadiModi #WakeUpPM’’.
Taking potshots at Modi, the chief minister has posted another ‘’X’’ message: "A glimpse of @narendramodi, smiling in his sleep, while giving sleepless nights to Kannadigas. #AnswerMadiModi #WakeUpPM’’
