Welfare Measures will Help Poor: Jayalalithaa


Chennai, Sep 15 (IANS): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa Thursday said her government's welfare schemes will greatly help the poor by ushering milk and knowledge revolution.

These schemes should not be demeaned as doles, she said while implementing her AIADMK's electoral promises.

She announced distribution of milch cows and goats to the rural poor and consumer durables such as fans and grinders to poor women.

Simultaneously, laptops and cash incentives were announced for students on the 103rd birth anniversary of former chief minister C.N. Annadurai.

    congratulation to madam chief minister for keeping her election promises but people may like to know from where she had so much money to distribute such gratis,is it from the govt.treasury or from the party fund?
