PUC prep exam postponement demanded citing Ayodhya, Udupi Paryaya events

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (JD/EP)

Udupi, Jan 16: Mithesh Kumar Moodukonaje, founder of the association of parents and teachers, has submitted a formal request to the Udupi Deputy Commissioner and PU Department Deputy Director, urging them to postpone the preparatory examinations scheduled for January 22. The plea is based on the upcoming Udupi Paryaya festival on January 17 and the Prana Prathiste of deity Sri Ram in Ayodhya on January 22.

In their request, they emphasized, "It is the opinion of the students and the parents that it is not right to hold the examinations during religious events." Expressing dissatisfaction, they condemned the decision to proceed with the examinations despite the well-known dates of the events. They have urged the authorities to consider the opinions of the concerned students, parents, and teachers while scheduling future examinations.

Additionally, they voiced their displeasure towards PU college principals and elected representatives who did not raise objections to the initially planned dates.
