Mangaluru, Jan 17: The door of the anganwadi center, falling under the jurisdiction of Yekkar gram panchayat in Bajpe, was forcibly broken, leading to a theft that included essential items intended for children.

An anganwadi center worker discovered the broken door, on Monday January 16.

Subsequent investigation uncovered the theft of vital supplies, including rice, jaggery, milk, sugar, cookers, and fans.

The stolen items also encompassed cash and fans generously donated by philanthropists. Bajpe police visited the spot and an investigation is underway.
