Bantwal: Kulala Sangha to host cultural extravaganza 'Kalavali – 2024' on Jan 21

Bantwal, Jan 17: The Kulala Sanghas in the undivided district are gearing up for the cultural event "Kalavali – 2024," scheduled to take place at the Sparsha Kala auditorium in B C Road on Jan 21, according to Radhakrishna Bantwal, president of Bantwal taluk Kulala Sudharaka Sangha.

Addressing a press conference at the B C Road press club, Bantwal announced that the event would be inaugurated by senior dramatist Rama B C Road, with the presence of film actor Manoj Puttur.

The midday session at 12 pm will be presided over by Radhakrishna Bantwal, and will see the participation of MLA Rajesh Naik, former minister B Ramanath Rai, Mumbai Kulala Sangha president Raghu Moolya, Girish B Salian, Sunil R Salian, Mayoor Ullal, and Vittal Kannir Thota. The evening's concluding programme will host Dr M Annayya Kulal, Premananda Kulal, Purushotham Kulal, Kalbavi Dinesh Kulal, Anil Das, Mamatha Gujaran, and Sudhaker N Salian as chief guests.

The event promises a diverse cultural program featuring registered Kulala sanghas. Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to competition winners, with all participating teams receiving Rs 1,000. The remaining funds from the programme will contribute to the ongoing construction of the Kulala community auditorium's first floor.

Bantwal emphasized that the Bantwal taluk Kulala Sudharaka Sangha, active for the past 45 years, has consistently supported the community by providing financial assistance and scholarships to underprivileged students. The "Kalavali – 2024" event aims to provide a cultural platform for community members.

Present at the press conference were Sukumar Bantwal, vice president, Keshava Master, chief secretary, Ramesh Salian, treasurer, Damodar Arya, programme convener, Jalajakshi Kulal, joint secretary, Meenakshi, Padmanabha, Machendra Salian, Narayana C Perne, and Sathish Kulal.
