Puttur: Assistant temple priest displays honesty – Returns wallet containing chain to woman devotee

Puttur, Jan 18: A woman devotee lost her wallet containing a golden chain weighing three sovereigns at the Sri Mahakali temple of Uppinangady. Displaying honesty, the assistant temple priest who found the same returned it to the devotee.

Manjula was the devotee who lost her purse in the huge rush at the temple. She could not make out that she had lost her purse at the temple. Only when she returned home was shocked to know that her purse was not there. Later, Manjula went back to the temple and searched for the purse but did not find it.

Anantakrishna, assistant temple priest enquired with Manjula and came to know that she has lost the purse. He said that a purse was found near the Gingelly oil offering inside the temple and returned the same to her.
