Bellary: Rs 4.95 Crore Seized from Reddy Truck

Bellary/Hyderabad, Sep 16 (DHNS):
Further thickening the illegal mining plot, the Guntkal police in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday seized Rs 4.95 crore cash when it was being transported in a lorry from Bellary to Hyderabad.

Four persons including the  driver and cleaner of the vehicle, Eshwara Reddy and Venkatarama Reddy of Kadapa, who were in the lorry, have been arrested. According to the police, the huge sum was found in the truck during the checking of vehicles on the outskirts of Guntkal. Investigations are on to find out the source and destination of the cash.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, Dr Chandra Gupta, Superintendent of Police said the Bellery police had information about the cash being transported. However, before they could start investigation, the lorry had crossed Andhra Pradesh border.

According to police sources, the Guntkal police will be in the city with the arrested persons to gather more information.

According to the source, he is also close to Srinivas Reddy, Managing Director of OMC(Obulapuram Mines Company).

During the recent raids on the residences of BUDA President Gurulingana Gowda and Bhaskara Reddy, a relative of Janardana Reddy, the CBI had also intended to raid Venkatarama Reddy’s residence. However, it had to drop the plan as his address was not available.

The lorry, allegedly owned by Gali’s OMC, is from Poddatooru in Kadapa district where the relatives of the arrested Janardana Reddy and Srinivas Reddy reside.

The AP police, acting on the advice of the investigation agency, have been keeping an eye on the vehicular movement emanating from Bellary in Karnataka into the state. The cash stashed in three black travel bags was being transported in a truck (AP 04 X 9009) at Hanuman X roads in Guntakal.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the truck is registered in Kadapa and belongs to Poddutooru town.

These Reddy's are first class thieves.

They have looted the lands in Bangalore and created real estate price hype and now they have even finished the natural resources of Bellary, North Karnataka and converted it into a Somalia.
Corruption and Bribery with Politicians creates this problem finally!!!

The BJP should come clean if they want to be considered for next elections - association with cash for votes type gunny bag hawala money holders like Reddy will only create problems for BJP and tax paying common man.
Very deep investigation with lie detectors need to be done to get the rest of the 50,000 crore from Reddy. Such people sell the country and they also have criminal elements - but common man now follows Anna!!!

where is now our famous friend Nagesh Maam. This is happening in karnataka because of Italian led UPA govt and BJP is as saint as Baba Ramadev and as innocent as Yeddi.....No comments from Nagesh Maam. For him any wrong doings in BJP/RSS cadre is acceptable and any thing that doesnt suit him is attacked by all corners......All types of corruption both in the center and states have led to price raise and poor man is payig for the corruption. Its high time that we citizens stand up against any party or govt that promotes and patronises corruption... We need corrupt free administration and governance.

    Isolated case.

God knows how many more such bags have skipped investigations.

The sad part is that God may not know what will happen to this money once goes to police hands. Only Police knows the fate of this money.
