Mangaluru: Accused absconding for six years arrested

Mangaluru, Jan 20: Police personnel arrested an accused under Vittal who was absconding for about the last six years without appearing before the court for hearing.

The absconding accused is identified as Mohammed Iqbal (36), a resident of Thokottu.

He was arrested by Vittal police station personnel at Nethilapadav, Konaje with the support of Konaje station police on January 19.

The operation to apprehend the accused was conducted by Vittal station ASI Jayarama and police constables Puneet and Vinod. The accused was produced in the court on January 20.
