Kundapura, Jan 22: The whole country is reverberating with the chants of 'Jai Shri Ram' on Monday, January 22, on the occasion of Prana Pratishta of Lord Rama at Ayodhya. However, a village artiste of Kodladi of Ajri showed his devotion towards Lord Rama by carving his statue on watermelon.

Thousands of arts have blossomed on vegetables in the hands of Raghavendra Mogaveera Kodladi, a financially poor artist. He is also involved in creating designs on thermocol, name boards for weddings and other functions. However, he is mainly noted for his art on vegetables.

Raghavendra has turned Papaya fruit into a lotus and bitter gourd into a Dinosaur using his knife. With the Prana Pratishtha of Lord Rama at Ayodhya over now chants of 'Jai Shri Ram' are being heard all over the country. In the meantime, Raghavendra’s watermelon Rama is going viral on social media.
