Mangaluru: Investor conned of Rs 10.32 lac in share market scheme

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Jan 23: A person fell victim to a scam and lost Rs 10.32 lac under the false promise of receiving expert advice on share market investments.

The unsuspecting victim and complainant first encountered an advertisement from ‘992 Stock Frontline Group’ on Facebook, enticing interested individuals to join their WhatsApp group. Intrigued, the victim joined the group, where messages related to stock investments were being shared.

Following the group admin's guidance, the complainant registered on the online app ‘CHC & SES App’. Additionally, the admin instructed the complainant to invest money through the app, leading to the transfer of Rs 10.32 lac in various phases to multiple bank accounts provided by the admin. Unfortunately, the complainant neither received the promised returns nor recovered the invested amount.

The incident has been reported, and a case is registered at the CEN police station.

Biggest paradox of this type of jhumla is that hardly secondary school educated boys speaking in tribal Hindi accent and operating from very rural areas as far as Jharkhand, Odisha etc etc are easily able to dupe people from one of the most literate districts, boasting of n number of so called top class professional institutions, and some of the victims are even so called highly paid techies; THESE PEOPLE NEED TO ATTEND COMMONSENSE CLASSES; unbelievable state of affairs 🤯

My demat account is with my bank (PSU). Online buying and selling of shares is secure and easy, you can do it from within the comforts of your home. A secure internet connection and a secure uptodate computer is required. I have been investing in shares for the last more than 50 years. Earlier we had to fill paper forms and submit to the broker , now it is very convenient. Do not speculate, do not buy on tips, as Rudolf Ro6drigues always writes "Do your own research!!"

There is nothing wrong in wishing and aiming for extra money. Online if you are not efficient enough don't even try it. Just with a pan card number fraudsters can cheat us. With OTP they can cheat us. Nowadays people talk about shares. Please open demat in proper office like Integrated at Ram Bhavan. Do research in shares in google. Try investing little like rs 1000. Within one year you will know how to invest by yourself. You tell them they will do but choose your shares.

Oh my god! People are losing their hard earned money just by believing someone online? Please make sure, if you invest in ANYTHING other than government PSU’s like LIC, your money is always at risk. Please invest in government entities like LIC. They’re the safest investment you can do in india.

Repeated such episodes of getting cheated of tens of lacs of money in the land of Buddivanta Jivas indicted the lack of basic common sense overtaken by intense greed, and lots of spare money to splurge; all this despite such scam news being published in all types of media everyday!
