Several BJP leaders like LK Advani and political advisor Arun Jaitely among others will be present to support the fast. Chief ministers Prem Kumar Dhumal and Prakash Singh Badal are also expected to participate. MPs Bharat Kumar Raut and Anant Geete will be representing Shiv Sena.

In the wake of the Supreme Court breather to the CM pertaining to a riot case of 2002, the stste unit of BJP has been attracting as many Muslims for the fast. BJP general secretary Vijay Rupani said that a large number of Muslims are expected to attend the fast.

Siraj Neki of BJP's minority cell said that more than 1,000 Muslims from south Gujarat will join Modi's fast.
