Lucknow, Sep 18: Chief Minister (CM) Mayawati announced Rs one lac to those injured in the Agra blast on Sunday. CM also offered free medical treatment to those injured in the blast.

Reacting a day after Agra blast, CM Mayawati came down heavily on the opposition leaders. Earlier Congress had alleged that ministers and other seniors were found napping and did not visit Agra on the blast day. Mayawati in her statement stated that the visit was avoided as vital evidence could be lost due to high profile visit and it also hampers investigation process by security agencies.

"The Congress should remember how their leader Rahul Gandhi was greeted when he visited after Delhi High Court blast. Useless measures are taken for the security during high profile visits which is not required at the moment," she said. However, senior cabinet minister and state chief of BSP Swami Prasad Maurya was dispatched to visit Agra.

"We have issued directives for strict action against the perpetrators of the crime. No one will be spared," she said.

Meanwhile, as per officials press statement issued by the police headquarters in Lucknow only four people have been injured in the blast. The list includes Ram Bahadur (40), Ajay Kumar (30) both from Agra, Geetam Singh (46) of Aligarh and Rajkumar Jain (30) from Gwalior. As per the statement all have received minor injuries.

Police has recovered six battery, nine nut-bolts and some wires. No detonators, timing fix watch has been recovered. The blast was a low intensity crude blast, stated police officials.

The blast had occured at Jai Hospital's reception lobby at around 5:30 pm situated near Bhagwan Talkies in Agra on Saturday.

A case in this regard has been registered at Hari Parvat police station of Agra under case number 809/11 under section 3/5 explosives act, 307 IPC, 7 Criminal Law Amendment Act and 3/4 damaging public property.
