Mangaluru, Jan 30: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said on Tuesday January 30 that the Congress-led government in the state is following anti-Hindu policies.
Speaking to mediapersons, he stated, “The Congress government is pursuing anti-Hindu policies, conducting continuous atrocities on Hindu society. Hindu activists are being externed, and the Goonda Act is being imposed on them. The government's harassment extends to Math and Mandirs as well.
“During the Prana Pratishta at Ayodhya, a government holiday was not declared. The Bhagwa flag was hoisted by devotees through government officers, thereby insulting Hindu society and Ram Bhakts. The government also resorted to lathi charges against Ram and Hanuman devotees during their protest.
“The government is attempting to suppress Hindu protests through atrocity and harassment. Siddaramaiah ruled like Ravana during his earlier tenure. Whenever Siddaramaiah has held power, he has harassed Hindu society, attempting to withdraw the Cow slaughter prohibition and imprisoning Gorakshaks. He is following an anti-Hindu policy by compensating cow killers.
“It is not illegal to hoist a Hanuma flag or a saffron flag. That is one of the rights of an Indian. Saffron flag represents dharma; it has a traditional significance. Devotees of Hanuman are present everywhere. Siddaramaiah has insulted Hanumantha by having Rama in his name, thus disrespecting devotees of Ram and the entire Hindu society. The government is attempting to suppress protests by lathi-charging people. A similar confrontation occurred at the Idgah ground of Hubballi. Instead of handling it properly, the government is trying to instill fear among the people, sacrificing government officers. Siddaramaiah is a thinker and not a person of Congress mentality. Devotees of Hanuman may come from anywhere. We will not call people from other districts. Devotees of Ram may come from anywhere,” he said.
