Bangalore: Lokayukta Raids House, Office of Yeddyurappa's Son-in-Law

Daijiworld Media Network

Bangalore, Sep 20: The Lokayukta police on Tuesday September 20 raided the residence and office of R Sohan Kumar, son-in-law of former Karnataka chief minister B S Yeddyurappa in connection with the probe into charges of corruption.

The raids were conducted at Kumar's residence at Vijayanagar and his office at Sheshadripuram. The Lokyukta team hunted for documents and other evidence related to grafts cases against the former CM and his family.

The raids, however, did not seem to perturb Yeddyurappa. In a defiant tone he claimed that he was aware of the raids a day before, and that challenged Lokayukta to raid his house too.

"Let them raid my house also," he said in Koppal, where he is campaigning for his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Karadi Sanganna for the upcoming assembly bypolls.

Yeddyurappa, his two sons Raghavendra and Vijayendra, Sohan Kumar, two legislators and several others have been accused of conspiring to denotify land in and around Bangalore in exchange for monetary gains.

A Lokayukta court headed by judge N K Sudhindra Rao is hearing five complaints against Yeddyurappa and other accused, filed by two Bangalore advocates Sirajin Basha and N K Balraj.

The raids come a day after Justice Shivaraj Patil as the Karnataka Lokayukta following allegations of acquiring two housing plots from cooperative housing societies in Bangalore in violation of norms.

Patil, whose resignation was accepted by governor H R Bhardwaj on Tuesday, has denied violation of norms and termed the controversy as "malicious campaign" by a section of the media.

it is nice to hear that lokayukta is in action. dear Lokayukta UDUPI/ BANGALORE......please carry out similiar raids on (1)Mr Sadashiva Prabhu Asst. Commissioner Kundapura(2) Mr Subodh Kant Ex circle Inspector at Byndoor and (3) Mr Pavitra Teja the Sub-Inspector at Byndoor who are making money by giving favours to rich people and unauthorised persons.in this way justice is denied to the poor, right and innocent people.the Assst Commissioner at kundapura is given charge of 3 taluks and most of the time of this officer is spent in travelling from one taluk to another taluk. our honourable karnataka govt is donating crores and crores of rupees to temples, naosques and churches. cant they appoint a full time AC for each taluk and ensure that the pending cases in kundapura are disposed of quickly and there by giving justice to the poor people.it is needless to mention that the above mentioned Circle inspector got an award from the chief minister ( yeddy ) last year. in this way the police officer proved that he is an obedient corrupt student of the corrupt chief ministar ( yeddy ).

This raid should have been conducted in tandem with the Reddy raid held a month earlier. Yeddi and Reddy could then have been cell mates! Now, the defiant Yeddi is showing false bravery since he has stashed away all his wealth in Lingayat Mutts! What a shame!!!

He (yeddy) claimed that he was aware of the raids a day before,
So, there is a corrupt person in the lokayukta office. Yeddy gets all information. First find out who he is & boot him out.

YEEDY REMOVED ALL THE EVIDENCES AS HE KNEW HIS SON-IN-LAWS HOUSE WILL BE RAIDED. YEDDY IS VERY SMART. NO ONE SHOULD TELL IN ADVANCE ABOUT RAIDS AND THE CULPRITS SHOULD NOT KNOW ABOUT RAIDS IN ADVANCE. SO THE EVIDENCE WAS TAMPERED BY YEDDY AND I AM SURE THE INVESTIGATING AGENCY DID NOT FIND ANY EVIDENCE TO NAIL YEDDY AND HIS SON-IN-LAW. YEDDY WANTS HIS HOUSE ALSO BE RAIDED AS HE KNOWS THE INVESTIGATING AGENCIS WILL FIND NOTHING AS HE HAS REMOVED ALL THE EVIDNCES. THAT IS WHY YEDDY IS TELLING IN OPEN TO RAID HIS HOUSE. SUCH A DIRTY MAN YEDDY IS. THIS IS KARNATAKA BJP PARTY.
