Kundapur: One seriously injured in car-tipper truck collision

Kundapur, Feb 7: A collision between a car and a tipper truck near Bannadi, Kota, on February 6 left the car's driver, identified as Ganesh Shetty (39), with severe injuries. Shetty, a physical education teacher at a private school in Kota, was the sole occupant of the car at the time of the incident.

The collision occurred at Upladi, as the car, traveling from Kota Moorkai towards Madhuvana, collided head-on with a tipper truck moving in the opposite direction from Bannadi towards Kota. The impact of the collision resulted in the car being completely crushed, and Shetty sustaining serious injuries.

Shetty received initial treatment at a private hospital in Brahmavar. Subsequently, he was transferred to Manipal Hospital for further medical care.

Sub-inspector Tejaswi of Kota police station and PSI Sudha Prabhu from the crime branch, visited the accident site to assess the situation and registered a case pertaining to the incident.
