MAHE hands over Rs five lac donation to Udupi journalists’ welfare fund

Udupi, Feb 7: Rs five lac donation was handed over by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) to the district journalists’ welfare fund launched during their silver jubilee to help the journalists during sickness, accidents or other mishaps.

In the programme held at Edu building of Manipal Mahe, Mahe co chancellor Dr H S Ballal and vice chancellor Lieutenant general Dr M D Venkatesh handed over the check to the office bearers of the journalist's association. MAHE Health science division co vice chancellor Dr Sharath Rao was present.

MAHE co chancellor Dr H S Ballal and vice chancellor Lieutenant General Dr MD Venkatesh were felicitated by the association during the programme.

Association president Rajesh Shetty Alevoor, chief secretary Nazir Polya, state association member Kiran Manjanabail, silver jubilee festival committee chief secretary Jayakar Suvarna, treasurer Umesh Marpalli and Udupi Patrika Bhavan convener Ajith Aradi were present.
