New Delhi, Sep 21: An embarrassingly shocking case of officials at the National Technical Research Organization (NTRO) filming women illegally in toilets has come to the fore after being under the scanner of the Supreme Court for various other alleged irregularities.

Even though the issue at hand took place three years ago, the matter has surfaced just recently. As per reports, female colleagues who worked at the NTRO's temporary office in Hauz Khas here complained about a spy cam in their toilet. They also mentioned that the agency's counter intelligence and security unit had access to the feed from the camera.

Though internal inquiries have been conducted into the matter, the NTRO did not inform the police or the Prime Minister's office which the agency is responsible to.

Two inquiries were conducted, one by a senior officer and another headed by the technical head of NTRO V K Mittal. Mittal has left the agency since then and has moved the SC alleging mismanagement. He informed the media persons that he had submitted a report to the then NTRO chairman K V S S Prasad Rao demanding for legal action in the case.

Mittal further added that on investigation it was found that the hard disk of the computer where the feeds from the camera were stored was hampered with.
