Fr Franklin D’Souza celebrates his Sacerdotal Silver Jubilee at his native Parish, Murkothpalke

Moodbidri, Feb 9: Fr Franklin D'Souza, a priest of the Diocese of Shimoga, celebrated his Sacerdotal Silver Jubilee on February 8 at his native parish St Francis Xavier's Church, Saverapura, Murkothpalke, Diocese of Mangalore. 
The thanksgiving Holy Eucharist began at 10 am. Dr Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Diocese of Shimoga, Lawrence Mukkuzhy, Bishop of Belthangady, Leo Cornelio, Archbishop Emeritus of Archdiocese of Bhopal, Msgr Alfred Mendonca, vicar general of Diocese of Mysore, Fr Alwyn Dias, Provincial of Holy Trinity Province Karnataka were present for the thanksgiving Holy Eucharist. As many as 40 priests thanked God together with Fr Franklin D'Souza. 

Fr Santhosh Pereira, rector of Apostolic house, Shivamogga was the emcee for the mass and Fr Pius D'Souza preached a meaningful homily. Blue Angels Choir from Mangaluru led the choir. 
After the mass, a short felicitation was organised by the family. Bishop Lawrence, Archbishop Emeritus Leo Cornelio felicitated both Fr Franklin D'Souza and his mother who completed 80 years of her life.
On behalf of Diocese of Shimoga, Fr Stany D'Souza felicitated Fr Franklin D’Souza and rendered a felicitatory song. 
On behalf of the parish, Fr Noel Mascarenhas, CSSR parish priest felicitated Fr Franklin D’Souza together with his parish committee. 
Bishop Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Diocese of Shimoga felicitated Fr Franklin D’Souza.
