Mangaluru, Feb 11: The graduation day ceremony of Srinivas Group of Colleges was held at Srinivas University Mukka campus on Sunday, February 11.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest of the programme, founder and CEO of Globals Inc, co-founder, HappyEMI, YGL, World Economic Forum, Venture Fellow, NYCEDC, co-chair, FICCI, advisor, Govt of India, Dr Suhas Gopinath stated as an youngster he was always fascinated with the Internet and that led him to take up cyber security as his main profession.
He recalled as a young entrepreneur he received unwavering support from his parents and that led him to excel in the field. The young global leader inspired the graduates to stay humble and not to give up on their dreams.He further quoted “The past is a thief, if you allow it, it will steal your present and future”.
Chancellor of Srinivas University and president of A Shama Rao Foundation Mangaluru, Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao in his presidential address emphasised that humility or humbleness defines who you are. He further encouraged the graduates to be an asset to our country by growing steadily and firmly.
The university chancellor mentioned that “Study throughout your life, life’s lessons help you grow individually and professionally.”
Guest of honour, pro chancellor of Srinivas University, vice-president of A Shama Rao Foundation Mangaluru, Dr A Srinivas Rao remarked that young graduates need to step up and become entrepreneurs in starting up a company as the Indian government supports them with remunerations.
The oath was administered by Srinivas University board of governors trustee member, Prof Er A Mithra S Rao. Srinivas University board of governors trustee members A Vijayalakshmi R Rao, Srinivas University's honourable vice-chancellor, Dr Sathyanarayanan Reddy, Srinivas College of Pharmacy principal Dr Ramakrishna Shabaraya, Srinivas Institute of Medical Science and Research Centre dean Dr Uday Kumar Rao, Srinivas Institute of Nursing Science dean Dr Pradeep M, Srinivas College of Physiotherapy & Research Centre dean Dr. Rajashekar, Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences dean Dr Reshma Pai, Srinivas University registrar, Dr Anil Kumar, registrar of evaluation Dr Shrinivas Mayya D, registrar of development Dr Ajay Kumar, and deans of various institutions of Srinivas University were present.
During the graduation 739 graduates received their certificates. Srinivas University registrar of evaluation Dr Shrinivas Mayya D welcomed the gathering, and Srinivas University Development registrar Dr Ajay Kumar introduced the chief guest.
Srinivas College of Pharmacy principal Dr Ramakrishna Shabaraya delivered the vote of thanks. Dr Ambika Mallya, Dr Vijayalakshmi Nayak, and Prof Rohan Fernandes, Prof Shwetha Pai and Dr Padma Prabhu compered the event.
