Apex Court Divided on Black Money SIT


New Delhi, Sep 23 (IANS): The Supreme Court Friday referred to Chief Justice S.H. Kapadia the maintainability of the central government's application, seeking recall of a July 4 apex court judgement setting up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe black money.

The matter was referred following a split verdict between Justices Altamas Kabir and S.S. Nijjar on the the question of maintainability of the centre's application that also referred to money laundering and black money in tax havens.
