Bhopal, Sep 23 (IANS): A third-year engineering student of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) here allegedly committed suicide in his college hostel room, police said Friday.
Manish Soni, a student of Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) hanged himself Thursday night.
"We have recovered a suicide note from the incident spot. He cited depression as the reason for committing suicide," Kamla Nagar police station in-charge K.S. Bhadoria told IANS.
Soni also said that he was under depression since the last five years.
