Lucknow, Sep 23 (IANS) Three people, including a policeman, have been booked for raping a minor in Uttar Pradesh's Mau district, an official said Friday. While the victim is in a hospital, the accused are on the run.

The 15-year-old girl -- a resident of Auranagabad -- was Thursday gangraped by policeman Mohd. Alam and his two aides, Shabeer and Mehmood, in Dakshintola area, some 300 km from Lucknow.

"The girl was on her way to buy some stationery items when Shabeer and Mehmood abducted her and took her to a secluded place, where Alam was already present. Later, the girl was gangraped," police inspector Jai Shankar said.

"The accused policeman is attached with the Beluaghat police outpost in Mau," he added.
