Chidambaram's Place in Tihar, Next to Raja : Sinha

New Delhi, Sep 24 (IANS): Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Saturday said Home Minister P. Chidambaram should be in jail for his alleged involvement in the 2G spectrum scam.

"The proof against Chidambaram is overwhelming. He should be in jail with A. Raja," BJP leader Yashwant Sinha told reporters here.

He also said the prime minister acted on Chidambaram's advice on the 2G spectrum allocation, and his silence showed his approval.

Chidambaram was the finance minister at the time the spectrum was allocated in 2008.

The opposition's demands come after Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy Wednesday submitted to the Supreme Court documents indicating that Chidambaram was involved in deciding the 2G spectrum price along with jailed former communications minister A. Raja.

The documents filed by Swamy include a communication of Jan 30, 2008, by the department of economic affairs of the finance ministry recording the gist of a meeting between Chidambaram and Raja.

    SBRAMANIAM SWAMY MAY GIVE ANY FORGED DOCUMENTS TO SC TO NAIL CHIDAMBARAM. THIS IS ALL BJP GAME PLAN. BJP HAD BRIBED SWAMY TO IMPLICATE CHIDAMBARAM IN THIS SCANDAL. TOMORROW SOME ONE ELESE WILL COME AND GIVE FORGD DOCUMENTS TO SC AND BLAME SOME OTHER CONGRESS MINISTER. THE SC SHOULD IGNORE ALL THIS.

    BJP HAS BEEN SO DESPERATE TO COME TO POWER THEY JUST CREATE ISSUES TO SPOIL UPA IMAGE. SO THE SC SHOULD BE CAREFUL. CHIDAMBARAM IS STILL A CLEAN PERSON. BJP'S MINSIETRS LIKE JANARDHAN AND SRINIVAS REDDY ARE ALREADY IN JAILS FOR CORRUPTION. NOW YEDDY ALSO WILL GO TO JAIL VERY SOON WITH KARNUNAKAR REDDY.

    SO BJP SHOULD FIRST SEE HOW CLEAN ITS OWN PARTY IS BEFORE POINTING FINGERS ON UPA OR CHIDAMBARAM. YASHWANT SINHA SHOULD SEND BJP CENTRAL LEADERS LIKE SUSHMA SWARAJM JAITLEY, GADKARI AND NAIDU TO JAIL FOR GETTING LOOTED MONEY FROM READDY BROS. JANARDHAN REDDY HAS DISCLOSED THE NAMES OF ALL THESE FOUR MINISTERS. WHY YASHWANT IS NOT TALKING ABOUT THIS CORRUPTION ? WHY HE WANTS UPA AND CHIDAMBARAM TO GO TO TIHAR JAIL ? WHY BJP LEADERS CANNOT GO ?
