Hot Sunday in Delhi


New Delhi, Sep 25 (IANS) It was a hot Sunday in the capital with the maximum temperature touching 34.7 degrees Celsius, a notch above average. The conditions are expected to be similar Monday, the weather office said.

Sunday's minimum temperature was recorded at 24.2 degrees, a notch above average for this time of the season.

Humidity wavered between a high of 85 and a low of 47 percent.

"Monday's maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 34 and 24 degrees Celsius respectively," said an official from the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

"The days ahead are likely to be warm, with mainly clear skies," he added.
