Moodbidri: Journalist, temple devotee returns found cash to temple priest

Moodbidri, Feb 29: A temple devotee who is also a journalist has sincerely handed over Rs 14,010 to the temple priest of Mahalingeshwara temple in Arjunapur, Shirthady-Valpady, after finding it on the temple premises.

On February 29, journalist R B Jagadish and Pratibha M visited the temple in the morning, received the darshan of the deity, and were returning when they noticed currency notes scattered on the main steps of the temple.

Given that the temple recently underwent renovation and Astabandha Brahmakalashotsava, separate entry and exit pathways were arranged. The cash was discovered on the steps designated for exit and was promptly handed over to the temple priest, Sudarshan Bhatt.

Individuals who may have lost the cash are encouraged to contact priest Sudarshan Bhat for assistance.
