Hebri, Feb 29: The driver of one of the cars who had sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision between cars in Muniyalu town of Hebri taluk, passed away on Thursday, February 29 evening.

The deceased has been identified as Jagadish.
 
 
He along with a woman, who too was severly injured were being taken to Manipal Hospital, when Jagadish succumbed.

Hebri, Feb 29: Two persons were injured after two cars coming from opposite directions collided against each other. This incident happened in Muniyalu near Varanga in Hebri.

A Muniyalu-bound car traveling from Chatkal Pade collided head on with a car that was Hebri-bound from Karkala. The driver of the car, Jagadish Achar and a woman sustained serious injuries and were admitted to a local hospital.

Due to the severity of the accident, the front portion of the car was completely damaged. However, the passengers in the car escaped unharmed.
 
 
The Kadhuhole Muniyalu Chatkal Pade main road has been upgraded into a four-lane road. The road widening work has been going on for the last one and a half years but it has remained incomplete so far.

No signboards have been installed either anywhere near where the works are going on due to which a series of accidents have been happening.

There have been at least eight accidents in the last one month and the public works department and contractors have no so far not installed any signboards to caution the road users.

    Sorry to hear driver expired.May his soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to the family.Too many autos on the road,hardly anyone follows the rules ,bad roads ,Many times innocents die in accidents.Govt is not bothering to repair and give hard punishments to accused.At the end poorone as to die.and innocents.

    This is the same incident happened on January why is the government not even worried about hebri agumbe road why there is always a blind spot do something Innocent life has been lost

    same stories getting repeated every now and then..neither the public nor the administration bothered about finding any solution...The RAM BHAROSE AND CHALTA HAI attitude going on...no value for life of citizens...politicians and bureaucrats busy amasssing money....
