Bengaluru, Mar 4: JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda on Monday disclosed that the Lok Sabha seat sharing and distribution will be finalised in a week by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and H D Kumaraswamy.
Addressing the media after the installation of Rashmi Gowda as the JD(S)
Mahila unit president, he said Modi-Shah and Kumaraswamy will take a decision on whether Kumaraswamy should contest Lok Sabha elections.
The seat sharing and distribution have already been discussed by State JD(S)
president Kumaraswamy with Modi and Shah, Gowda said asserting that the party would abide by the alliance dharma and work for the success of all the 28 candidates from the two parties in the State.
Answering questions, Gowda indicated that the BJP leadership might seek the views of JD(S) regarding some of its own candidates and the party will give its opinion when asked.
The former prime minister said he cannot work in the speed of Modi as he can travel to several places and states. However, he said he himself will tour the entire State and go where he is asked. All our party leaders will work unitedly for the success of BJP-JD(S) combine, he said.
Gowda said the media is needlessly speculating on the Mandya Lok Sabha seat, where the JD(S) is very strong.
Siddaramaiah, Parameshwara effectively handling Café blast incident
Asked about last week’s bomb blast at a Bengaluru Café, he said the chief
minister Siddaramaiah and Home Minister G Parameshwara are effectively handling the incident.
‘’I feel the chief minister and home minister are doing a good job,’’ he said.
Rashmi Gowda received the JD(S) flag from outgoing JDS Mahila wing president Leeladevi R Prasad.
The party will be organising a women’s convention in Kolar on March 14 or 16, Deve Gowda said.
