Bengaluru, Mar 10: Exhorting the youth not to fall prey to drugs and other bad habits, chief minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday, March 10, called upon the people to join hands with the government to ensure that youth, who are country’s wealth and assets, are misled and enlighten the youth.
He was addressing a function to flag off the “Police Run” jointly organised by the State Police Department and the State Bank of India in front of the steps of the Vidhana Soudha.
Siddaramaiah urged the people and society to join hands with the government to rid the State and Bengaluru of the menace of drugs.
He appealed to the people to help in the government’s efforts to increase the green cover in the city so that the youth are able to lead a healthy life.
There is need to create public awareness about the dangers and pitfalls of increasing cyber crimes and appealed to the people cooperate with the police in their efforts.
Home minister Dr G Parameshwar, SBI managing director, chief minister’s political secretaries Naseer Ahmed, Govindaraju and others were present.
