Mangaluru, Mar 12: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel expressed his support if the BJP decides to award a ticket to a new candidate in Dakshina Kannada constituency.
Speaking to mediapersons on Tuesday, March 12, an emotional Nalin said, “I welcome the party's decision to nominate a new candidate. If the party asks me to sweep or swipe, I am ready to do so as well. Identifying a common party worker is the specialty of our party. National leaders of the party carefully consider their decisions before awarding tickets.
"The party should not remain stagnant. It's essential for new individuals to take charge, and I welcome such a move. I am fully committed to the decisions made by the party's national leaders. Regardless of the candidate, I firmly believe that Modi should become the Prime Minister once again, and the BJP should emerge victorious once more."
"Power is not paramount; it is the vision of our national leaders that holds significance. I pay no heed to social media. My allegiance lies with the party's decisions and the functioning of the organization. All endeavours can be accomplished with the unwavering support of our party workers.
"I have been given the opportunity to serve thrice, spanning a 15-year tenure. Within our party, there are no divisions; rather, it fosters growth. Starting as a common worker with an RSS ideology, I was encouraged by party leaders to contest elections and was graciously bestowed with a Lok Sabha ticket. Furthermore, the party entrusted me with the position of state president, illustrating its commitment to uplifting dedicated party members.
"When I have been given opportunities, I have received fair treatment. I do not have the authority to claim any injustice against me. The party has facilitated the growth of all its workers. Every individual is essential for the party's functioning. Why harbour any discontent? I am dedicated to my organizational responsibilities, and under any circumstance, I will not entertain unhappiness. It is simply not feasible,” he said.
