Bengaluru, Mar 13: D K Shivakumar, president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress committee has approved with immediate effect the proposal to appoint M G Hegde as the state spokesperson of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC).

A notification in this connection was issued on March 13 by Priyank Kharge, chairman, communication and social media, KPCC.

Hegde is known for his sharp wit and fluent oratory. He has worked as the general secretary of district Congress and district spokesperson.

He is also known as a social activist more than a Congressman fighting for various causes.

    This is a man who doesn't mince his words and doesn't play by the rules of the book. He will always be remembered for his dare to come in and support the catholic school last month without fear and speak to the media boldly (while many self-bragging catholic heavyweights hid behind the trees).Since he is a former Sangh member, he has a fantastic overview of all the sides and the shades. He says Mangalore has to be opened from 6AM to midnight and only then people will be busy rather than indulging in communal activities. Right man for the right job.

    Congratulations Sir. A strong personality with clear thoughts, striving for communal harmony and peace all around. We need more wise people like him. Wish Padmaraj gets MP ticket in Mangalore and JP Hegde -Udupi -Chuckmangalore for the overall growth of DK.
