Udupi, Mar 14: Kota Srinivas Poojary, the BJP candidate for the Udupi - Chikkamagaluru constituency, expressed confidence in securing a significant victory, stating, "As per the statistics, 10.5 lac people have not yet received the first installment of the Gruhalaxmi guarantee by the Congress government in state."
Poojary also alleged, "The state government is withholding the disbursement of 22 lac quintals of rice provided by the central government for free ration distribution."
Addressing the media on Tuesday, March 13, also accused the government of failing to credit cash amounts to people's bank accounts.
Speaking about the security situation, Poojary voiced concerns over the roaming of the Rameshwaram cafe bomb blast perpetrator and the entrance of pro-Pakistan slogans into the Vidhanasoudha, indicating a lack of security under the Siddaramaiah government.
Addressing his opponents in the Udupi – Chikkamagaluru constituency, Poojary acknowledged their democratic right to seek candidacy. He mentioned that both Shobha Karandlaje and CT Ravi, along with Pramodh Madhwaraj, had extended their congratulations upon his nomination.
Poojary emphasized that the Lok Sabha elections are fought on national issues, highlighting the achievements of the Modi government over the past decade and the party's agenda of Hindutva and development.
Expressing gratitude to party leaders and workers, Poojary pledged to deliver the benefits of the Modi government's initiatives to every household. He outlined the significant strides made in electrification and water supply under Modi's leadership.
Poojary recounted his journey from a gram panchayat member to a parliamentary candidate, expressing gratitude to the party for providing him with opportunities. He emphasized the unity and dedication of party workers in the constituency, aiming to secure a decisive victory in both the central and Udupi - Chickmagaluru constituencies.
Poojary concluded by highlighting the developmental initiatives in Kashmir post the abrogation of Article 370 and pledged to win the Udupi - Chickmagaluru constituency with a significant majority, citing his understanding of people's issues and commitment to delivering government projects effectively.
