Mangaluru: Two attempting to peddle ganja arrested, items seized

Mangaluru, Mar 20: Two individuals were arrested by the Mangaluru east police station while attempting to sell ganja.

Kishan (30) from Bejai and Hitesh (29) from Mallikatte were arrested following information received by PSI Pratibha on March 17. Acting on this intelligence, the police initiated an operation. The suspects were intercepted while attempting to peddle ganja on a scooter along the route from Pumpwell to Nanthoor. Upon raiding them, the authorities took the suspects into custody and seized approximately Rs 10,000 worth of ganja weighing 155 grams. Additionally, the scooter utilized in the illegal activity was confiscated.

This operation was conducted under the direction of police commissioner Anupam Agarwal, deputy commissioners of police Siddhartha Goyal and B P Dinesh Kumar, and led by ACP Pratapsingh Torat. The team comprised Inspector Somashekhar J C from Mangaluru East Police Station, PSI Pratibha, and CID personnel.
