Disgruntled Former BJP Worker Attacks Minister Somanna with Footwear

Bangalore, Oct 1: In an embarassing incident, state housing minister Somanna was attacked with a footwear by a person identified as Prasad in the premises of Vidhana Soudha on Saturday October 1.

Prasad, a real estate broker from north Karnataka who is now residing in Gangenahalli of Hebbal in Bangalore, is said to be an activist of ABVP and former BJP party worker.

He said that he was frustrated with the BJP administration, and that not only Somanna, but anybody belonging to the party would be his target.

Reports also suggested that he was upset after the party denied him a seat in the city corporation.

Somanna was coming out after a meeting with the officers, when Prasad took the footwear off his right leg and slapped him. A shocked Somanna asked him to explain his act.

Later, supporters of Somanna and other officers beat up Prasad before he was handed over to the police for investigation. According to police sources, Prasad was drunk and he also had a knife in his posession.

He has been charged under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for assaulting a VIP and a government servant.

Somanna got Chappali POOJE in the premise of the HOLY PLACE and certainly very secured place in Karnataka,VIDHANA SOUDHA.... I guess.On the the hand murder of corporator today is not new phenomena , 3-4 months before one more coroporator murdered in Bangalore.

Chappli service is alien in Karnataka politics..but Somanna,an exJDS/CONG man switched to BJP for a 'CAUSE'that might not require any elaboration here. In fact those who switched to BJP recently are of corrupt politicians for that BJP is paying for it now and the repercussions might be harsh in the long run.It is irony that all BJP supporters and leaders always used to 'EDRKATHE' when they were in receiving end./

Eddy was charged with corruptions in de- notification and illegal mining and when he was forced to yield , then he made a plan, asked LOKAYUKTA to cover other Govts corruptions in inquiry which forced him finally to relinquish his CM chair..In this column also same tactics are used to counter or to defend BJP.You people boasting BJP party with difference and nationalist then before fingering other incident other party try set right your own house first.

The former BJP worker was totally disgusted by the performance of the party leaders. The usuage of
sandal to display his anger was not justifiable, and it is an assault. However, this shows that many loyal followers in the BJP are totally disappointed, and the party has bigger cracks in many sides.

Somanna like ministers possibly ditched the society and involved in influcing voters by bribed money from Bjp(nobody knows who is behind these distributions of Money in crores.(Is it Yeddy ???).There are series of ministers who did this and are responsible of speading from grassroot level by paying money to voters and thus winning by fraud.Election comission has no means to control fraud in elections and just sleeping.Any goonda who joins BJP can win comfortably. Perhaps somanna got the taste of his own medicine. Somanna is one of the snakes but what about other more poisonous snakes who ate the money & won elections ?
