Mangaluru, Mar 22: Pre-monsoon showers drenched several areas of Dakshina Kannada (DK) district on Friday March 22 morning.
Localities such as the city, Panaje, Sullia, Badiyadka, and numerous other regions experienced rainfall. However, parts of the district continue to endure high temperatures. According to the meteorological department, light to moderate scattered rainfall is anticipated in the coastal region over the next few days.
Mangaluru city witnessed light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning on Friday morning. Areas affected by the rainfall included Talapady, Kotekar, Beeri, Deralakatte, Kuthar, and Thokottu within the jurisdiction of Ullal taluk. Farangipete, situated in Bantwal taluk, recorded the highest amount of rainfall.
