Mangalore Oct 2: Prepaid auto booths were inaugurated at KSRTC, Bejai and central railway station here on Sunday October 2.

The booths were inaugurated by president of Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Latha R Kini and deputy commissioner Dr Channappa Gowda.

I agree 100% with your openion. This could be only an "aarambha shooratva" model step.
At the same time I apriciate the service rendered by prepaid auto counter at City railway station Bangalore where in the persons running the counter are totally dedicated and committed.System running in an excellent manner.

This will die a natural death within a few months - It is not the first time that this has been "INAUGRATED" - the old rusty booth that operated fromt the KSRTC bust stand in Bejai years ago has rusted. Further, inspite of the pre payment - the Auto drivers harass and fleece the passengers at the destination - giving various reasons - eg. Luggage bad roads, no return fare etc. How will a new comer to Mangalore figure out what is City Limits ????
