Bengaluru, Mar 27: BJP opposition leader R Ashoka has alleged that Congress leaders have started making defamatory and abusive remarks against BJP fearing defeat in the Lok Sabha polls.
Addressing media persons at the party office on Wednesday, March 27, the BJP leader criticised the Congress government for its “failure” to handle the drinking water shortage problem and “controlling the water tanker lobby with people forced to say goodbye to Bengaluru.”
The BJP Opposition leader said, the Congress leaders lack culture and have started talking in abusive terms against prime minister Narendra Modi. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was almost jailed for his remark against the Modi community. They were abusing the prime minister as Chaiwala, Chowkidar Chor and Modi Parivar.
Minister Shivaraj Thangadagi had spoken against Sonia Gandhi when he was in BJP and is now talking against Modi. People will teach him a lesson, he said and alleged that Congress leaders including chief minister Siddaramaiah had used offensive language against the prime minister, president and finance minister.
The BJP leader claimed that the Thangadagi was unaware of the achievements of Modi government in tackling the unemployment problem.
He alleged that the Congress government’s free guarantees will be scrapped after the elections and Congress will be trounced. The hat-trick victory of Modi is a guarantee, he claimed.
The BJP leader criticised Hemant Nimbalkar serving as commissioner in the State Information Department when his own wife is Congress candidate from Belagavi. “BJP will lodge a complaint with the Election Commission,’’ he said.
