Dubai: Bunts Biennial Throwball Tournament at Sharjah on Dec 9

Dubai, Oct 3: Bunts Dubai will be organizing its biennial throwball tournament at the Wanderers Sports Club, Sharjah, UAE on December 9 this year.
As part of this year’s special attraction, along with matches for ladies, there will be battle for the title amongst men and children too. Only those "groups" representing ladies "teams" will be allowed to participate in men's matches.
Two children's teams will be formed on the spot on the match day.
Once the teams confirm their participation, the organizers will divide them into two groups by drawing lots. After the league matches, top two teams from both groups will qualify for the semi-finals. Each league match will be played for 21 points and whoever scores 21 points first will be the winner. Semi-finals and final will be played for three sets of 15 points. This may change according to availability of time on the day.
The organizing committee of Bunts Dubai, UAE has promised that this will be a grand, well-organized tournament, and attended by a large number of people. The tournament will begin at 8 am. The organizers will serve free breakfast for all the nominated teams and free lunch will also be served for all the invitees and guests.
Winners and runners-up will be awarded attractive trophies. The decision of the organizing committee shall be the final in all matters.
Rules and match format will remain the same as played in other local tournaments. A copy of the rules will be made available on request. The match fixtures will be drawn prior to the tournament and organizers will call for a meeting of team captains or managers.
Entry fee will be AED 250 for each team.
