Bangalore: Anita Kumaraswamy Richer than Janardhana Reddy!

Bangalore, Oct 4: In a curious revelation, it is found that Anita Kumaraswamy, MLA from Madhugiri and wife of former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, is richer than former minister Gali Janaradhana Reddy, at least officially.

As per the details furnished by Anita to the Lokayukta on August 27 this year, she owns Rs 159.60 crore worth of assets. In addition, she also owns 1,300 grams of gold, 40 caret diamond, 17 kg silver etc.

Even if a moderate estimate is made, Anita is worth over Rs 200 crore. She also has lent huge sums to her husband H D Kumaraswamy, and son Nikhil.

Anita's assets have seen a quantum leap from Rs 51.22 crore declared by her in 2009-10. Her income is Rs 9.02 crore, while her shares in different concerns including Kasturi Media, amount to Rs 74.83 lac. Her other investments exceed Rs 2.47 crore. She owns a building wrth over Rs 10 crore. She has availed a loan of Rs 37.99 lac.

As compared to the above, the assets declared by Janardhana Reddy stand at Rs 144 crore.

If any body believes that there is any corruption-free politician in India, I would call it political innocence of highest order.

Dear friends, only way we can be out of the clutches of the dirty politicians is following strongly Anna Hazareji which is the only ray of hope.

Please note that you will find bigger fishes emerging in the days to come as bigger scams are going to come to the fore.

Corporate terrorists are still roaming scot-free which is a cause of concern. Let us think rationally and don't align/support any one party because all political parties are same.

The poorest politician I have ever known is Prime Minister late Lal Bahadhur Shastri. After his death, the family had hard time to keep up the rent payments. Government has to provide special funds for maintaining his family.

Today's politicians are much better off - they don't have to depend on government funds for maintaining their family.

India is turning into socialistic to capitalistic democracy where everyone will have an opportunity to create wealth. Go for it, but do it in legal and ethical means so that it will bring you happiness, pride and peace of mind.

One thing i don't understand the logic of the people that when we debate on the subject say 'A', why the hell we compare the froud commited by 'B' or 'C'.
Stick to 'A' and arrive at a conclusion and later discuss about on 'B' & 'C' separately.

The funniest part is till today HDK is telling to the media that, he has enough proof against Yeddi and even against Santhosh Hegde.
HDK must explain how he and his family got so much wealth? what is the source of income. Our IT department is useless. If they notice any sudden increase in wealth they must investigate immediately. I really get annoyed and angree when our Customs officers at Mangalore charge poorworkers from middle east for one extra bottle of whisky and one extra gram of gold!

Question about 200 Crores Anita should be investigated by Authoriries. At the current scenerio almost all politicians of Karnataka are in the similar line of corruption looks like and to be interogated.
In the prevailing conditions more important question is about
where does BJP gets money to bribe Mlas and peope in multi core deals.Ofcourse Yeddy is their agent and no doubt. The Guy who is in jail who looted Karnataka in thousand thousand crores Under the leadership of Yeddy and then party president Gowda is also involved in these bribing????. Reddys gave in several cores (say 100 Crores) to temples too.
Present CM looks to eager to take Reddy soon with him in his cabinet.Its the matter of days . When Hegde was Cm he did not bother to sack Gowda due to PWD issues where has current BJP govt will never sack anybody.Corrupt people are very safe here.

Once the CBI completes its probe in illegal mining- the real value of Reddys will be known, until then we can say Reddy is Below Poverty Line!
Thousands of Crores in Benami properties & Companies floated to re-route the money from foriegn route to cover their trail is used by Reddys. Until the investigation completes his real worth will not be revealed to the general public.

Rest all others are rushing towards Rajya Sabha or Lok Sabha to make personal wealth only

All of these Harvard, Yale, IIM and other top notch MBA graduates working in Wall Street or Dalal Street are only "piddly pappadums" in intelligence, when compared to a fat "Tandoori Chicken" like Anita Kumaraswamy, Jayalalitha, and the behenji Mayawati of UP. Even the oversized undergarments / cheddis of these esteemed ladies is lined with 22K gold dust and VVS Diamonds.

Wow!! I was wrong to say Indian and specially Karnataka is poor specially women. They suffer in the hands of their husbands but here they gracious in the hands of their husband prospered. May God gives everyone husband like Anita's.

For the last 60 years our politicians who were elected with trusted had siphoned the nation’s80% wealth for them, their kin as well as their business coteries and tainted business houses. In the bargain the Swiss bank received a mind boggling illegal bank deposits where as the rural poor were under-paid and sucked their blood to feed the Richie Rich. Same goes with the so called advanced or developed countries like US, UK….
To conclude the whole wealth of the nation is highly concentrated in a relatively few hands. In short the top 1% of households (the upper class and the politicians) owned 35% of all privately held wealth, and the next 20% (the managerial, professional, small business stratum and the Blue-collared Babus) had 50 %, which means that just 20% of the people owned a remarkable 85%, leaving only 15% of the wealth for the bottom 80% (wage and salary workers).

It is about time India too implemented taxing the rich and filthy so the government can support the poor and marginal. That is the only way to eradicate the curse of poverty in India. People give to the temples for publicity sake but not to the poor.

In India we have a we have a department run by the Central Government i.e., Income Tax Department which is now a days is being used as a tool to witch hunt the political rivals or social activists like Arvind Kejariwal,Kiran Bedi,Yoga guru Ramdev etc.,

On the otehr hand the department closely monitors the tax returns of indivisual salaried persons who are the really sincere tax payers.Politicians are left scot free though they own multi crore rupee worth assets earned with in a span of 2/3 years.
