The Quran s that Hajj should be performed by Muslims using their own resources hence they should not depend on the Govt subsidy. For the knowledge of the readers there are three ways of performing the Hajj.
    A. “Hajj al-Tamattu“ involves performing Umrah and then Hajj, with one Ihram for each.
    B. “Hajj al-Ifrad” involves performing Hajj only. A sacrificial animal is not obligatory and
    C. “Hajj al-Qiran” involves combining Umrah and Hajj, with only one Ihram for both.
Stages of Hajj are as follows:
    1. Ihram
    2. Performing the Welcome Tawaf and Sa'y
    3. Going to Mina from Makkah
    4. Going to Arafat from Mina
    5. Going to Muzdalifah from Arafat
    6. Proceeding to Mina from Muzdalifah
    7. Tawaf al-Ifadha in the Holy City of Makkah
    8. Returning to Mina from Makkah
    9. Farewell Tawaf in the Holy City of Makkah
    10. Departing for home
Note: There is an extra- 2a. Ihram for Hajj al-Tamattu
I wish all the pilgrims a safe and pleasant Hajj pilgrimage journey and please pray for the prosperity of India and the Indians. Jai Hind.

For First Class pilgrimage the Govt charges a subsidised 1.25 lakh/person but in actual it is as follows:
    A) Amount refunded via forex -Rs 25,000 (received back as foreign exchange for food etc).
    B) Rent Charges at Makkah-Rs 43,750 (for a month long stay) but bldg owner is paid less by the Muallim there.
    C) Rent charges at Madina-Rs 12,500 (10 days stay) to accommodate-3 but they accommodate 6 persons.
    D) Cost of to fro Ticket-Rs 26,000 (As per makemytrip.com offer for 40 days round trip).
ACTUAL EXPENSES FOREX REFUND is Rs 1,08,500 (for 40 days around trip without food)
They make a profit of Rs 16,500 plus they siphon from the Govt a subsidy of Rs 28,000. Where this Rs 44,000 does goes?
Moreover the Hindutva groups argue that a government sponsored Hajj subsidy forcibly taxes Hindus to pay for Muslim religious pilgrimages, and tantamount to appeasement of Muslims but the truth is other way round.
