Two Maoists Arrested in Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 5 (IANS): Two Maoist guerrillas, who provided logistical support to new recruits in Maoist training camps across India, have been arrested in the capital, police said Wednesday.

The two cadres of the People Liberation Army, identified as Arun, 30, and Dilip, 40, were arrested from south Delhi's Lodhi Colony Sunday night. They were produced in a court Monday and sent to 10 days police custody.

The two, who belong to Jharkhand, came to Delhi Sep 28 to meet their associates. Police seized two laptops and incriminating documents from their possession.

A suspected Maoist conduit, accused of receiving "protection money" from the Essar group on behalf of the rebels, was also arrested Tuesday in the capital.
