Bengaluru, April 5: The National Investigation agency (NIA) has taken into custody a Theerthahalli-based BJP worker in connection with The Rameshwaram Café blast case in Shivamogga.
The detainee is identified as Saiprasad.
The investigating officials had raided the houses and mobile phone shops of two youngsters at Theerthahalli last week. It is said that Saiprasad was in touch with these youngsters and so he was being questioned in custody.
Sai Prasad had reportedly sold a mobile phone to a suspect Muzammil Shareef, who is currently in judicial custody. Muzammil Shareef, in turn, had repoertedly, given this mobile phone with a SIM card to another suspect Musavir. Sai Prasad, who was selling second-hand phones, was interrogated on the suspicion that this was the mobile phone used by Musavir.
Meanwhile, Dinesh Gundu Rao, tweeting on the matter, has ridiculed the opposition BJP for trying to hold ruling Congress goverment in the state responsible for the blast. He said now BJP needs to answer regarding the detention of their party worker in the blast case.
