Lucknow, Oct 7 (IANS): Two women of the same family were crushed to death and two were critically injured early Friday after being knocked down by the Rajdhani Express at an unmanned railway crossing in Uttar Pradesh, police said.

The accident took place around 2.30 a.m. in Kaushambi district's Manauri level crossing when the four people were crossing the tracks.

"Those killed and injured are from the same family. The condition of both the injured is stated to be extremely serious. They have been referred to a hospital in Allahabad district," Police Inspector M.P. Verma told reporters in Kaushambi, some 250 km from here.
