12 Shanghai Metro Officials Punished for Crash

Shanghai, Oct 7 (IANS): A dozen Metro officials have been punished, three of them being sacked, for a collision between two trains that left over 250 people injured.

A probe panel blamed human error for the Sep 27 accident in which a subway train crashed into another train in Shanghai.

Investigation revealed that wrong orders were given to the second train and the position of the first train parked in the tunnel was not checked, reported the Shanghai Daily.
