Mangaluru, Apr 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed heartfelt appreciation to the people of Mangaluru and Dakshina Kannada for their overwhelming participation in his roadshow on Sunday April 14.
In a message shared on X, PM Modi conveyed, "I am deeply grateful to the people of Mangaluru and Dakshina Kannada Parliamentary constituency for their remarkable turnout during Sunday's roadshow. The connection between this region of Karnataka and our party is deeply rooted. Over the years, the people have bestowed their blessings upon us, resonating with our commitment to effective governance and our endeavours to uphold and cherish our rich cultural heritage."
Highlighting the significance of the recently unveiled manifesto, PM Modi emphasized its potential to catalyse development in Mangaluru, particularly in crucial areas such as urban development and enhancing quality of life. He underscored the transformative vision outlined in sectors like fisheries, poised to revitalize the coastal economy.
In a firm stance against the opposition, PM Modi asserted, "Dakshina Kannada cannot afford to support the Congress, which indulges in divisive vote bank politics. The Congress-led government in Karnataka is mired in internal strife, misappropriation of public funds, and obstructing progress. Their disconnect with Karnataka's cultural ethos is evident."
PM Modi's grand roadshow in Mangaluru, held on Sunday evening in the lead-up to the Lok Sabha elections, spanned a 2-kilometer route from Brahmashree Narayan Guru Circle to Navbharath Circle, resonating with enthusiastic participation from the locals.
